INDIVIDUAL 5K 


The individual 5k run is a combination of road, trail and cross country. It was measured and verified with a Jones Counter. It is eligible to be a certified USA Track and Field Course. The course is beginner friendly and unique. Awards will be given to the top overall male/female and top age group runner.

RELAY MARATHON 


The course is a combination of road, trails and cross-country - spanning the entire park. Teams consist of 2 or 4 people. You can run with 3 but you will be racing against 4 person teams (so run fast!). Awards will be given for top 3 male, female, and co-ed teams. 


Start Time: 8 a.m. 

Start Location: Steeplechase Grandstands

Finish Location: Steeplechase grounds

Relay Exchange Location: Scott Hollow Pavilion (near Vaughn Creek Cross Country Course). The exchange is about 1.5 miles from Steeplechase. For Packet Pick Up, Registration, and Parking Info please go to our Schedule of Events page. 


Each distance was measured and verified with a Jones Counter. The map does not reflect the actual distance of the route. Each team member will run the following:


Leg 1: The Classic

Distance: 8.15 miles 

Start on the road above the Grandstands. Run the classic 11.2 route, turn left onto Terrace View Drive, left onto Warner Woods Trail (White) Trail, run a short section of trail, hop off at the first road junction and turn left continuing on the 11.2. Left to finish at the Scott Hollow Pavilion. (Please note: the course does not include the Shotgun curve loop).

Leg 2: The Admiral

Distance: 7.9 miles 

Start at Scott Hollow Pavilion. Run a short section of road to the Mossy Ridge Trail (Red), turn left onto the trail. Travel on the Mossy Ridge Trail (Red) to the Red/White Connector Trail and go right onto the Warner Woods Trail (White). Run the White Trail to the Belle Meade Stairs, run down the stairs, around the flag pole and back up the stairs. Continue on the Warner Woods Trail (White), to the Red/White Connector Trail, and right onto to the Mossy Ridge Trail (Red) to make the loop. Finish at the Scott Hollow Pavilion.

Leg 3: The Tennessean

Distance: 4.95 miles

Start at Scott Hollow Pavilion. Travel backwards on the 11.2 to Deep Well Picnic area. Turn right onto the Red/White Connector trail head and run to Luke Lea Heights on the Warner Woods (White) trail, turn left on the 11.2 and run the Luke Lea Heights loop, turn right continue backwards on the 11.2, turn right to Gum Ridge. Finish at Scott Hollow Pavilion.

Leg 4: The Horsemen

Distance: 5.2 miles 

Start at Scott Hollow Pavilion. Run a short section of road to the Mossy Ridge Trail (Red), turn left onto the trail. Turn right onto Cane Connector trail. Run loop of Vaughn's Creek Cross Country course, back to Cane Connector trail. Run to Steeplechase on road, left at first gate on Gaucho Rd, enter onto Steeplechase grounds, run loop on grounds and finish. *New Course design!

CRAZY OWL FULL MARATHON 


Crazy Owl Full Marathoners will run each leg of the relay marathon and it will be crazy tough. Dare to race the Crazy Owl...but we suggest only experienced marathon runners attempt this one. A special award will be given to each finisher. Good Luck!
